After Enduring Countless Hardships, My 70-Year-Old Mother Benefits from Practicing Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) My mother is in her seventies. She has experienced and suffered a variety of hardships during various political movements of the past few decades of China's modern history under the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). My parents' marriage was anything but happy and harmonious. After weathering all the hardships in her life, her health suffered. In the 1980's, she began following and studying all kinds of qigong schools, but with little real improvement in her health.
After I started practicing Falun Gong, I experienced the purification of my mind and body, and a happiness beyond description. I naturally thought about my lonely mother, so I called her and invited her to my home to teach her Falun Gong. After a second telephone call, she agreed to come.
She had some doubts, but I when I saw her in person I told her how I started practicing Falun Gong and I talked to her about the changes I had experienced since beginning the practice. Then I showed her several movements from the exercise "Buddha Stretching a Thousand Arms." She exclaimed, "How elegant and beautiful!"
Because my mother and her family had suffered through a variety of political movements, she has a disdain for the CCP. When I talked to her about quitting the CCP and its associated organizations, she immediately agreed to quit the Youth League. Thus she was the first person whom I successfully persuaded to quit the CCP and its associated organizations.
Following my initial success, during our meals together I talked with her about my own and fellow practitioners' experiences practicing Falun Gong. The first time I played the video of Teacher's 9-Day Lecture in Guangzhou, my mother said to me, "I didn't understand any of the video." I knew it was due to interference from other dimensions. Therefore I sent forth righteous thoughts to clear the obstacles between her and the Fa.
At the time, my mother still couldn't let go of the Buddhist scriptures that she had brought with her and asked me to read. I told her, "I will read it when I have time. You should read Zhuan Falun in return." When she read it the first time, she fell asleep once she started. She was also using her existing notions to evaluate and critique the Fa. From time to time, the stuff she had learned elsewhere sneaked into her mind to interfere. She even once said that she was not willing to continue reading.
I told her, "OK. Since you don't want to read, I will read it to you." My mother covered her face with both hands while I read Lunyu to her, trying to deliver each and every word to her knowing side with my righteous thoughts and clear and loud voice. After I read about a dozen pages, she started to lose the resistance and critical comments, and from time to time she nodded while I was reading. The reading continued for a couple of days before she said, "You don't have to read to me. Let me read it myself." The third day after I went to work, she continued to read Zhuan Falun herself. When I got back home, she told me, "Today I understood a little bit. Master Li Hongzhi is teaching in a very easy to understand way." I said, "Indeed, Master teaches profound principles in layman's terms. Every time you read it, you will achieve certain improvements."
One day before I went to work, I left the Pu Du and Ji Shi music playing for my mother. She listened to the music for the entire day. When I got home, I could feel a very harmonious atmosphere. My mother told me that she had enlightened to many new principles and teachings. I knew that it was a result of the interference in other dimensions being eliminated.
The day after I taught her the exercises, she said, "As soon as I hold a certain posture in the exercise, my elixir field spins counterclockwise and clockwise automatically." She felt the miracle and said, "I have practiced so many years of qigong and this is the first time I have had such a miraculous feeling. In summary, Falun Dafa is good." My mother can now undoubtedly feel Teacher's Fashen adjusting and purifying her body whenever she does the exercises.
When my mother left (after staying with me for over a month) and returned to my elder sister's house, my sister said in amazement, "What nutritious food did my sister feed you? You look so great." My brother-in-law said that our mother had become more beautiful.
My mother and I have the fortunate opportunity to learn Falun Dafa in this lifetime thanks to Master's benevolent salvation. My mother keeps studying the Fa and doing the exercises every day. She has finally obtained true blessings. I am happy for her from the bottom of my heart, and I sincerely wish that she will remain steadfast and strive on in her path of cultivation.
